Save Burlesque - March to Camden Council

Burlesque perfomers and fans marched to Camden Council to defend their genre

Marching 2 miles armed with fishnet stockings, heels and corsets, members of the burlesque community set out to convince Camden Council to reconsider their decision that would require burlesque venues to apply for an adult entertainment licence.

After three hours of dancing and cheering outside Camden Town Hall, the protestors received a written statement from the council acknowledging that burlesque performances encompass a wide range of art forms and that burlesque itself is a genre so by its very nature should not be licenced.
